For edges:

Apply to clean, dry edges at the hairline.

Smooth in using your fingertips, then comb through using a toothbrush or smoothing brush to achieve desired style.
When using this on your edges, use a damp towel to wipe away excess product in between uses to avoid flaking. Allow the hairline to dry, then reapply.
